Fire Alarms

The Walk is fitted with smoke and heat alarms. These alarms are tested every week. No evacuation is required. Only evacuate if the alarm continues to sound for a long period of time.

Fire procedure

Please familiarise yourself with
the Fire Escape Plan:

A printed copy of the Fire Procedure and Escape Plan can be found in the folder on the shelves in the living room.

It is vital that in the event of a fire that you exit the building quickly and safely. Leave all belongings behind. Do not use the lift, use the stairs. Once outside the building, make your way to the Assembly Point.

The Assembly Point is in the corner of the car park next to the car park entrance on Lowther Terrace. The sign is located on the wall behind parking bay 6.

Fire blanket
and extinguisher

For smaller fires in the apartment there is a fire blanket and fire extinguisher. Instructions for use are printed on the items.

The fire blanket and fire extinguisher are kept on the kitchen worktop, to the right of the cooker.

Communal hallways

For fire safety reasons, no items are permitted to be stored in the hallways outside the apartment door. Communal hallways should be kept clear at all times.
